Some Good News and not-so-good news

The good news is that we played at Moreland First Baptist Church on Sunday and hopefully touched a few hearts. The bad news was that Anthony, our drummer, could not join us due to a medical problem. I hope everyone will say a prayer for Anthony and wish him God's speed for a speedy recovery. Anthony, YOU WERE MISSED!

Response was very good and many of our CDs were given (with a donation, of course).

However, as our lead guitar player said it best, "Our goal is to allow the Lord to touch someone's heart through our music. I will put down this guitar in a second to pray with someone if they need me to pray with them." And that is what it is all about. Not about the music, the attention, the publicity. It is just simply spreading the Word.

We Have Been Busy In the Studio

We Have been busy in the studio and just finish the ruff draft to 5 more songs, we are planning our new CD release in the near furture. The new CD will have 6 cover songs and with four orginals on it. WE are all very exicited for its release.

How do I ask for Salvation!

The Problem of Sin

God created us in His own image and intended for us to have abundant life, and to be in communion with Him forever. He also gave us a free will of our own and the freedom of choice, as a gift. We chose to disobey God and use our will to rebel against Him. Adam and Eve, the first two humans God created, used their freedom of choice to willfully disobey God. Every human born since then has inherited that sinful nature at birth. We all have a natural tendency toward sin, apart from God.
The Bible says, "But your iniquities have separated you from God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2)
The simple truth is that, no matter how hard we try to be "good" and earn God's approval, we will never be "good enough" to do this on our own. We need a "bridge" back to God.
The Good News is that God has a plan to restore us to fellowship with Him, and anyone can accept this plan.

GOD'S Answer To The Problem!

God sent his own Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us in human form. Jesus knowingly allowed Himself to be crucified, tortured and killed on the cross, in order to take upon Himself the punishment for every one of our human sins. He literally served as our "proxy" in order to become our "bridge" to God and Heaven. Three days after His death, Jesus arose from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, where He is preparing a place for each of us who will accept what He did on our behalf.
So what do you have to do to accept God's offer of forgiveness?
The Bible says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12) and also, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9).

How To Accept!

( ) Admit you are a sinner and have rebelled against God.
( ) Bewilling to turn from your sins. (repent)
( ) Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
( ) Through prayer, invite Jesus to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit.

What To Pray!

"Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins.
I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life.
I want to trust You as Savior and follow you as Lord. Amen."

The best way to get better acquainted with the God who created you and the Savior who rescued you from sin, is to begin studying the the bible, find a church in your area that teaches the truth of the bible, and join a small group to help with bible studies.

What Is The Gospel?

There is a wonderful book which contains everything we need to know to live our lives the way our Creator intended (II Timothy 3:16,17). There are countless truths to live by found in this book, God's message to mankind, but if we were to boil everything down to its most basic message, this book, the Bible, makes three things clear...

First, the Bible says that mankind has a problem, and that problem is called sin. Sin is any action or attitude that falls short of God's perfect standard. Every one of us has the problem of sin (Romans 3:23). And the Bible teaches us that there is a consequence to sin - sin separates us from a holy God (Habakkuk 1:13). In fact, the Bible tells us that end result of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and that there is nothing that we ourselves can do to solve the problem of sin.

Second, the Bible says that there is a solution to the problem of sin, and that solution is the person of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). The Bible tells us that God loved us so much that he sent Jesus, His only Son, to die in our place (John 3:16). Jesus paid the penalty of your sin so that you would not have to be forever separated from God (I John 4:10). The Bible also tells us that Jesus is the only solution for our sin problem (John 14:6).

Third, the Bible demands a decision. It is not enough to just know about Jesus Christ and His death on the cross for you. You must choose to put your trust in Christ, to receive this free gift of salvation that God offers (John 1:12).

All of us have the problem of sin. There is only one solution to the problem - the person of Jesus Christ and His death on the cross for us. Every one of us must decide...
